Jason Penberthy – General Manager
Jason joined Waratah Private Hospital as General Manager in July 2020 and has over 25 years experience as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife in both the public and private sectors and over 10 years experience within senior management and executive roles in the private sector. In 2019, he was nominated by his peers for a CEO of the year award in the Australian Healthcare Awards and was runner-up and awarded an honorary mention. Jason was nominated and awarded for his commitment and passion to improving value based healthcare, workplace culture and for his contributions to social responsibility and community partnerships. Jason has completed a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma of Midwifery, Graduate Diploma of Intensive Care Nursing and a Masters of Business Administration majoring in Health Services.
Kim Bassot – Director of Clinical Services
Kim is a highly experienced clinician with over 15 years experience in the health industry in a hospital setting with extensive experience within the Peri-operative Services environment. Throughout the years she has transitioned up through numerous roles including clinical nurse educator as well as holding management roles in both the public and private sectors. During Kim’s 6 years at Waratah Private Hospital she has progressed from the Operating Theatre Manager in 2015 through to the Director of Clinical Services in 2018. Kim has experience in leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team through change management as the hospital has undergone significant growth. Kim has completed a Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing.
Jayesh Rambojun – Finance Manager
Jayesh has close to 15 years experience in the finance sector and over 10 years in senior management roles in the private health sector and joined Waratah Private Hospital in March 2021. He is a dynamic leader that drives finance and organisational performance and offers a strong financial culture while keeping a patient centric approach at all times. Jayesh has completed a Bachelor of Computer Science, Masters of Professional Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration and is fluent in 4 lanaguages.
Lucy Janda – Executive Assistant
Lucy has over 5 years experience within the private healthcare industry as well as previous medico-legal experience. She has completed a Bachelor of Laws and has been admitted Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales since 2015. Due to her legal background and exceptional attention to detail, Lucy has recently been appointed as Chairperson of the Hospital’s Work, Health and Safety Committee.
